Indigenous Cancer Care

These resources have been collected to help staff better support First Nations, Inuit, or Métis cancer patients.

Books & eBooks for Patients

BC Cancer patients have access to an increasing number of electronic books. You can search our Library Catalogue for titles in the Indigenous collection for patients.

Contact your regional centre library for more information or help borrowing print and ebooks.

NOTE: Most of these ebooks only allow ONE user at a time. If you try to access a book and get a busy signal (a message saying all licenses are in use), try the link again later.

Pathfinders

The library provides pathfinders, which are lists of some of our books, ebooks, pamphlets, support services and recommended websites.

Feel free to print and share these pathfinders with patients!

The BC Cancer library system consists of a central library at Vancouver Centre (VC), and branches in Abbotsford (AC), Kelowna (SAHCSI), Prince George (CN), Surrey (FVC), and Victoria (VIC). All centres have patient resource collections in our Cancer Information Centres (CIC), and all centres have a professional collection on site. Professional resources for CN are housed in the adjacent UHNBC Library.
