Daily PubMed Alert - Indigenous Populations & Cancer

Searching for articles on Indigenous populations can be challenging because databases may use outdated and offensive terminology. This is a simple search showing the 5 most recently indexed articles on this topic in PubMed. For more, see the PubMed search on cancer and Indigenous people in Canada and North America.

Results are displayed by entry date indexed, which can differ from publication date.

Comprehensive search filters for Indigenous peoples and health have been created by librarians at the University of Alberta and the BC Cancer librarians can help you apply these search filters or create a customized search specific to cancer and Indigenous populations. Please contact your Librarian for assistance.

The BC Cancer library system consists of a central library at Vancouver Centre (VC), and branches in Abbotsford (AC), Kelowna (SAHCSI), Prince George (CN), Surrey (FVC), and Victoria (VIC). All centres have patient resource collections in our Cancer Information Centres (CIC), and all centres have a professional collection on site. Professional resources for CN are housed in the adjacent UHNBC Library.
